The brewery was founded in 2003 by Steven Urwin on the family farm of Matfen High House. Located in a converted grain store, the brewery and offices provide a modern and efficient business base with its roots very much grounded in history and tradition.

After the beers initial launch at the 2003 Tyneside Beer Festival, demand and praise for these traditional ales throughout the region has been very strong indeed - proof if ever it were needed, that the true beer enthusiast appreciates quality above all else.

Today, High House Farm Brewery has both the capacity, ability and enthusiasm to take its beers to a wider appreciative audience - Don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss stocking any of our range of fine ales.

As an exciting development, High House Farm Brewery is currently developing a bottling facility alongside the brewery, and we hope to be able to offer our beers for sale online in the very near future - Watch this space!
